A Russian & an American philosopher on culture & language

I have excavated this extract from the annals of obscurity:

Man and Culture, Language, Esperanto by Pavel Gurevich

Gurevich refers to a conversation with a Professor Glosson, who must really be Ronald J. Glossop, philosopher, world federalist, Esperantist. Glossop argues that language is determinative of culture, but Guervich has doubts. Glossop proposes Esperanto as the medium of intercultural communication; Gurevich does not argue with this. This is hardly an exercise in profundity, but Gurevich is correct that Glossop is too simplistic. I'm being polite here.
